Help Beavis get his surgery

Hi, my name is Alex; I am fundraising for my little dog Beavis' urgent surgery on his nose.

Beavis is a happy and playful little Jug who loves people, other dogs and the great outdoors. He lives in the north of Scotland, enjoying long walks around the Munro's, lochs and fields and loves nothing more than to hang out with his humans, his Romanian rescue brother, Doyle and enjoy a good play.

Beavis' journey has been a tough one. He was surrendered as a puppy to a sanctuary because of his behavioural problems and needed special training to be safely re-homed. As we traded the city for the Scottish countryside at the height of the pandemic, we decided that we needed a dog, and that's when we came across Beavis at the sanctuary; needless to say, we immediately fell in love with him, and he's been a wonderful addition to our family. He is much loved to say the least!

Just after his second birthday, we noticed that Beavis had a slanted nose and took him to the vet to get it checked out. After x-rays, CT scans and blood work were done, tests came back inconclusive. Vets then performed an endoscopy and managed to drain 5ml of bloody fluid from a growth in his nose. Unfortunately, the insurance company wouldn't cover any of this, and his treatments have wiped out our savings so far. While the drainage did help for a little while, the vets said that Beavis would need surgery to remove this growth, but as they are not sure yet what the growth is (cyst or cancer), they cannot rule out that this surgery will be the last. We were quoted £3,500 for the surgery he needs, and we are hoping with all our hearts that they find it's just a cyst and this will be the only surgery he will need. But until they do it and look at the growth during surgery, we simply won't know. Every penny donated will go directly to Beavis' bill at Scottish Vets in Inverness.

We love him very much, he means the world to us, and while he may not show that he's in pain, it's important to us to know that he is healthy and happy. Like all animals, they deserve a good quality of life, and Beavis is no exception. We love this little dude and want to make sure he is well!
