Help Beazy Farms Animal Sanctuary rebuild!

Donation protected
Hello, fellow animal lovers! I've created this fundraiser to help my wonderful neighbors Emilie Christian and Max Lester's animal rescue, which recently suffered severe damage in a powerful storm on November 8th, 2022.

Beazy Farms Animal Sanctuary is a small sanctuary in the mountains north of Los Angeles dedicated to the rescue and care of at-risk and special-needs domesticated animals and livestock. They are home to Chickens, ducks, goats, and horses but their doors are open to all. Emilie is up before dawn every day, hand-feeding the critters and providing loving, lifelong care to any animal who needs it.

Although the enclosures and structures destroyed were correctly installed and anchored, they were no match for the gale-force winds our town suffered on November 8th.
Here is a summary of current damages:

  • Goat barn was totaled
  • PVC water lines ripped from the ground and destroyed (side note, this community relies on well water systems, so water conservation is critical to all of us.
  • Water troughs tossed in the air, cracked and destroyed
  • Trees uprooted and toppled over onto structures, including animal enclosures
  • Poultry fence and insulators crushed
  • Feed shed and protective tarps, and other necessary items destroyed

The overall goal is to rebuild bigger and better, not just to withstand the winter but for the longevity of the sanctuary so Beazy Farms can continue to help animals in need.

Goals are as follows:

  • Complete rebuild of goat barn
  • Reinforcing chicken coops for safety, including sides and roofs
  • Improve wind protection for all aviaries and large animal shelters
  • Replacing all damaged items such as waterlines, fencing, feed storage, water troughs and even animal bedding.

These repairs and rebuilds will involve great material and labor costs such as lumber, large tool rentals, concrete, haul away / dump fees, and, needless to say, manpower. Any donation, large or small, is deeply appreciated.

Emilie, Max, the Beazy Farms family, and all the animals thank you from the bottom of their hearts.
