Help Beite & Henny after Hurricane Ian!

Hi my name is Destiny Jean-Charles. My dad and his girlfriend, of more than 10 years, had their home destroyed by Hurricane Ian.

A storm surge of 4 feet of water and mud came into their home and ruined everything they have ever owned!

He lost all the photos of his childhood and every meaningful item was submerged in water. Their furniture was floating and scattered around the whole house.

They've lost ALL of their possessions, including their work stuff, furniture, clothes, food, tools, my dad’s motorcycle, electronics, sailing equipment, and almost all of their family memorabilia and more.

Unfortunately, they do not have Renter's insurance and are starting all over again. They will need to start rebuilding their lives, including finding a place to live because their house is unlivable.

I can't even imagine being in my 60's and starting ALL over again. I believe they have filed for FEMA assistance but, as you can imagine, there are hundreds of thousands of people applying for FEMA assistance so I have no idea if they will be accepted and how long that will take.

He would never ask for help or assistance for himself so as his only daughter, I am taking it into my own hands and asking my friends, family and whoever else would like to help them out in any way possible.

Also if anyone knows of any rentals under $2k please let me know.

It truly breaks my heart. I hate that bad things happen to great people. If you know him then you know he has already been through so much in his lifetime. I'm asking for any donation amount you can spare to help them get back on their feet.
