Help Belal build a better future

Hello, my name is Mara Bardelli and I am gathering funds for a 22 year old boy in Yemen, Sana'a. I have been in contact with him for the past month and we have been on videocalls, he has sent me pictures, videos and vocal messages. I live in Italy and he asked me to open this campaign to help him gather funds to travel and find refugee in Europe.

In Yemen he is at great risk due to the civil war began in 2014 and still ongoing. The war led Yemen to being one of the poorest countries, making it very difficult for men to find a job.

Belal has completed his high school studies and has also done a two year specialization in English language. Although he had the luck to complete these studies, he cannot afford university and is now forced to live with his older brothers working as a fruit seller.

In Yemen PayPal takes a high fee and transfers are very difficult. For this reason I will be collecting the amount and sending it to his bank account once the goal is reached. In the meantime I have been sending him a small amount of my weekly pay and this has allowed us to build trust.

On my Instagram and TikTok platforms I will share updates on him and his living conditions. And once the goal is reached I will show proof that he has traveled abroad.

Because of the war in Yemen, airports are shut down and it is nearly impossible to travel through conventional ways. He will be forced to take a very dangerous and expensive route to travel. Other than this, once he has arrived in a European country that will accept him as a refugee, he will need some money to begin his new life; paying rent and buying basic necessities, until he has found a job. This is the reason why we set the goal this high.
