Help Belle Get the Life-Saving Procedure She Needs

Donation protected
Hello friends,

This donation page is set up for our beautiful baby, Belle. She has been diagnosed with tumors that are partially blocking her bladder and is in desperate need of a stent procedure that will allow us to get her the cancer treatment she needs. If you're here, it’s very likely you've seen posts about our beautiful girl and her sister, Sky. You are also likely aware that we adopted her on Christmas Eve 2018. We'd like to take this opportunity to share Belle's story with you and explain why it's so important to us that she gets a fighting chance against this illness:

She was three years old when we adopted her, and her name was Bluebell. Both she and her sister, Solar, were surrendered at a veterinary clinic in Las Vegas. Her family at the time was overwhelmed financially and could no longer take care of them. Belle has a history of fatty deposits that were assumed to be cancer at the time, so the clinic performed surgery on her, during which these deposits were determined not to be cancerous. Soon after, a local rescue took both girls in. Unfortunately, Belle's surgical site became infected, and she had to be hospitalized for a couple of months. During that time, her sister Solar was adopted. Belle made a full recovery, but having always been very reliant on her sister for confidence, she struggled in boarding.

In October of 2018, Alex and I said goodbye to our Zoey. She lived 15 years full of love and passed away from old age. This was an extremely difficult loss for Alex, who basically grew up with Zoey, his little partner in crime. In December, we found Belle's profile on an adoption website, randomly in the middle of all these other profiles, and her picture just jumped out at us. We brought her home on Christmas Eve. She brought color back into our world. The most loving, gentle giant you could ever meet. She brought my Alex back to life. A few months later, we found the perfect partner in crime for Belle in our Sky. I've never met a more bonded pair than these two. They do everything together and have shown each other how to be brave and confident again. Our home is complete.

These two girls are everything to us. I know that for a lot of people, treating pets like children may be strange. Maybe it's because Alex and I are unfortunately unable to conceive naturally, so to us, they are very much our children. We just want our little girl to have a fighting chance. Her body is completely intact in every other way. It doesn't feel right to give up on her at this time. She just needs a little help from this procedure.

Please, if you can contribute anything at all, please help. Times are tough right now, we understand. Even if you can't contribute, would you kindly share this among your friends? Thank you for reading if you've made it this far.
