Help Ben and his family recover

Donation protected
Hi, I am Steve Reid who one of the Deputy Controllers for the Emerald SES Unit

Our Unit Controller, Ben Owen, lost his house in the early morning of the storm that affected Victoria on the 29th of October.

He was on the way to the unit to start assisting others, when he received the call from his wife that she and their 2 daughters were trapped in the house after a huge pine tree fell across the house.  After turning around, he and the neighbours managed to get his family and greyhounds out through the windows to safety.

The house is fully insured, but there will be lots of initial costs that are not covered by insurance as well as ongoing costs while the house is  being rebuilt.

Costs like Vet bills, clothes, school items etc.   One of the greyhounds was injured in the even and required emergency surgery.
All funds will be given directly to Ben.

Can you please help us to give back to the local who has given thousands of hours to the local community, seen and unseen.
