Help Ben Get his Levity Walker

Hello. My name is Jessica, mama to three kiddos.

Our oldest, Ben was Born at 25 weeks with two brain bleeds on each side of the brain causing Hydrocephalus and Cerebral Palsy. Our little warrior has been through 11 brain surgeries and fought meningitis after his second surgery. They said he may never talk or walk but we are proving those doctors wrong! Physiotherapists say he can, he just needs that extra help to get there.

We had the privilege to try a piece of equipment to help Ben walk and do exercises. It is called the Levity Gait Trainer for Ora Medical. This walker is made by a company in Quebec. It is different than a traditional walker because while it helps the child walk, it also gives them the ability to move their arms and use their hands freely. With a harness to support his weight so it makes him use his legs more and not rely on leaning against anything like armrests, unlike the traditional walker.

He has so much more freedom. He can kick a ball, run or have the freedom to reach things.

It's amazing to see him in it and zooming around.
