Help Ben, his family, friends and neighbours

On Thursday 16th of December typhoon Odette caused widespread destruction across the Philippines. With winds of over 250kph almost all trees, power lines and non-concrete structures were destroyed all over the island of Cebu and there was a lot of destruction in my brother's home town Moalboal.

Luckily my brother Ben, his family and friends are all uninjured but are now expected to be without electricity for the next 4-12 weeks. Food supplies, drinking water and gasoline are all sparse and hard to get. There has been next to no support from the government or any officials and they must rely on themselves and the community to survive.

Although Ben's house and hostel only had minor damage, they now have no income or support other than friends and family from abroad. They need any help we can give for essential goods and to help neighbours get back on their feet, some of whom have had their houses and belongings destroyed.

We are asking for any help that you can give to help support Ben, his family, friends and neighbours. The money will go towards drinking water, food, generators, gasoline and rebuilding basic accommodation.

We would ask that you give whatever you can and spread the word as much as possible, as it's currently not being reported much. All help is appreciated and if you have any questions please message either myself or Paul Whittaker as we are only in touch with Ben very rarely when he can find signal, and somewhere to charge his phone, so he probably won't see your messages. This is also why we don't have many good quality photos or videos to show.
