Help Ben Montgomery after rollover accident

Donation protected

On Thursday, February 8th, I received the call no parent wants to get-- my son, Ben Montgomery, was in a wreck and was headed to the hospital in McCall. He was returning to Council from New Meadows when he hit a patch of ice, spun off the road, and rolled three times down a 50-foot embankment where a tree stopped him from rolling into the Weiser River. By the grace of God and use of a seatbelt, he was able to climb back up to the road and flag down help.

Miraculously, he walked away with minor injuries, but he is now without a vehicle to get to work or his EMS classes, missed work while he recovered, and will have medical bills from his trip to the E.R.

Ben is highly active in the Council Valley Assembly of God where he leads the Royal Rangers and does Praise and Worship. His future plans include attending seminary at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri where he will train to be an Assemblies of God pastor. He is currently taking EMS classes and plans to run with the Council EMS as a volunteer. Ben loves Council and spends a lot of his own time giving back to people in the community.

Our family has had an incredibly difficult past couple of years, and we are asking our friends and family to help us bless Ben so that he is not burdened with these expenses.

The first priority is to get Ben back on the road! We are keeping our eyes peeled for an inexpensive, but reliable vehicle that will get Ben to work and to his EMS classes. We will use funds to purchase a car, register, and insure it, as well as making sure it has good tires and will make it through winter.

Next will be medical bills. Since it is so recent, we have not received a bill yet. Unfortunately, Ben did not have medical insurance at the time of the accident, so we're not sure what to expect, other than it's coming.

Finally, any other miscellaneous bills resulting from the accident, like the towing fees and if Ben needs to have follow-up doctor appointments.

We appreciate all of the calls and all of the prayers we've received over the last week. We are truly blessed that my children have such caring and supportive people around them. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!
