Help Ben Creamer's Family Overcome Tragic Accident
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amy Macias. My brother, Ben Creamer, and his family have suffered a tragedy and are in urgent need of help with medical care for their children, meals while at the hospital, gas to and from the hospital, and any other need that might present itself on this long journey of recovery.
On Thursday, June 13 around 10am Ben's four children, along with their grandmother, were in a serious car accident. The five were traveling in a minivan under a railroad bridge when a piece of large equipment got caught on the bridge, came off of the semi-trailer that was hauling it and landed on the minivan.

Ben's oldest son, Josiah age 15, was driving and had to be airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital. He is in the ICU with brain swelling, brain bleeds, multiple fractured bones in his face and hand as of right now. His back/neck has not been scanned yet due to his other injuries. He has been unconscious since the accident.
Ben's youngest daughter, Hannah age 12, was rushed by ambulance to the same hospital. She has multiple fractures in her upper arm that have been stabilized with a plate on either side of her arm and several screws. She also has a fractured neck that has to stay stabilized with a neck brace for a month. Hannah was released from the hospital today.
The grandmother and the other 2 children, Abigail age 17 and Gideon age 13, had injuries that were treated at a local hospital in Washington, IA and were released that day.
Due to a long history of health complications, Ben is on oxygen full time and is unable to work. His wife, Amanda, suffered trauma in her childhood that has left her with significant mental health issues. Supporting a husband with significant health needs makes this even more difficult and prevents her from working a full-time job.
Six months ago, the family was asked to leave their home of 15 years and reduced rent. They had one month to pack up their 15 years of belongings and find a place to live. Because of their financial hardship and the little amount of time they had to find a place with adequate space, the family of six has been living in a two-bedroom apartment. This is posing some problems with the now medical needs of their children.
This humble family would never ask for money on their own, so I am asking for them. Please consider giving to this wonderful, extraordinary family. Any gift will help in ways you will never know.
Thank you so much for your consideration and prayers! They are greatly appreciated I assure you!
