Help Bentley Run Again

Bentley has been injured now for a little while. Unfortunately, we took him to the Aberdeen Veterinary Referral Centre to determine what the injury could be and he has been diagnosed with Lumbosacral Disease, which has caused a trapped nerve in his spine. We are hoping that this can be helped with rest and recuperation through swimming at the K9 Health Centre in Aberdeen.

He has also been diagnosed with a partial cranial cruciate ligament rupture. Now due to his large size research suggests that they rarely heal well on their own. So if we can raise the funds we will be able to source a custom knee brace for him which he can wear for the rest of his life if needed. It will be sourced from https://www.orthopets.co.uk/ who are leading specialists in custom braces.
We are hoping to raise the funds in the next few weeks, it would be great to get it during the next 6 weeks as currently he has been told strict crate rest for his trapped nerve.
Bentley is my life however he absolutely loves to run we have taken part in cani-cross for the last 4.5 years. Even if I can get him back to free running at least he's able to do what he loves best, running up into the mountains and enjoying the fresh air. His racing years may be over, however, he is only 6 years old and in my eyes has plenty of life left in him. Currently, he is wondering what is happening as he has gone from cani-crossing and joining me free running 4-5 times per week to nothing. He loves being in the hills and running as you can see by the photos :)

My baby boy would be eternally grateful if we managed to get him a brace to get him back out running and walking again. If you fancy reading what adventures we have got up to over the past few years feel free to read our blog: https://teambentleyonthetrails.wordpress.com/
We will keep you updated on progress through our blog, I am hoping we can get some good news in 6 weeks regarding his trapped nerves.
Thank you for taking the time to read our go fund me appeal and if you would like to donate feel free. If you just want to keep updated on how Bentley is getting on please read our blog :)
