Help Bentley's Family with Medical Expenses
Donation protected

Hello, my name is Amanda. I am the mom of Bentley he was born at 22 weeks in two days on February 8, 2024. We spent 176 days in the Nicu we have been in and out of the hospital ever since for multiple diagnosis.
On January 8, 2025 we found ourselves calling 911 at 3:30 in the morning transported us to the local Children’s Hospital that was an hour and a half away. We were discharged, went back the following day on Thursday was discharged then went back on Friday morning and finally got admitted to the peds floor. Bentley was diagnosed with Metapneumovirus along with respiratory failure, and BPD, which is his chronic lung disease.
His dad and I have been switching out at the hospital due to the fact that we have two other kids that cannot be there it being an hour and a half away from our house. We have taken a hit financially since we’ve been doing this for almost a year, going back-and-forth from the hospital. The hospital is pretty much our second home everyone there as well aware of our family. I’ve been asked multiple times from our friends to reach out to ask for help and I keep saying no. But at this time we really need help. We’ve been doing it this whole time because I do not like handouts and I’m certainly not asking for any but if you could possibly share this or donate to help with gas and food while being in the hospital.
Bentley got intubated with a breathing tube today, Friday, January 17. He is medically paralyzed to try to help him recover from this awful virus. I will put my Venmo and Cash app below in case you want to donate that way and not donate through this account.
I do greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this. I am unable to work since I have to take the time to be at home with the kids and switch on and off with my husband. Your donation would go towards gas food at the hospital and some of our bills. Sorry it’s a bit rambled. I just hate asking for help.
UPDATE: January 19
Yesterday around 11 am on jan 18 we had a failure with the ventilator in the hospital that required Bentley to be manually bagged. Due to the sudden loss of pressure his lungs partially collapsed and the intubation tube shifted out of proper position. This required multiple x rays to get the tube back into place and the ventilator working again. We spent the rest of the day trying to recover and last jught was one of the scariest as we thought we were losing our baby boy. We were fortunate and had a local pastor call and give prayer over the phone for our baby and the hospital chaplain come in and give more prayers. The doctors were able to medicate Bentley and he slowly began to crawl back to us. Since the prayers and doctors shifting their care Bentley has stabilized and is moving in the right direction. We know that there will be ups and downs in this journey and are very thankful for any and all prayers! As of the 19th we are stable but still critical and making moves towards getting better.
