Help Besses Boys' Band get to National Finals 2024

After recent success Besses Boys’ Band have qualified to compete at the National Brass Band Championship of Great Britain (2nd section final) this September in Cheltenham. It is a monumental achievement for the band to compete at this prestigious contest for what will be the fifth time in the band’s history. We are seeking support and donations to help us on our way and appreciate any contributions however large or small.

The World Famous Besses Boys' Band are a 2nd section brass band, and registered charity, based in Manchester. Since forming in 1943 the band have won numerous contest championships and have performed locally, nationally, and internationally with concert and competition success throughout Great Britain, Europe and Australia. We are a diverse group of amateur musicians that encourage children to learn musical instruments, developing talent and performance skills. We have a great balance of age and experience and the amount of young people who achieve so much within the organisation is truly amazing.

The band has had numerous television appearances and have performed to high-class figures and Royalty including Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Her Majesty, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

As a self-funded, non-profit, charity, we rely on the support of our community and the continuing assistance of our supporters, and generous benefactors, has been the driving force behind our success. Every sponsorship makes a radical difference and will put us one step closer to representing the Northwest at the championships later this year.
