Help Beth and Shea Restart Their School After the Fire

Four years ago, my sister Beth and her good friend Shea risked their careers and walked away from a combined 50 years of kindergarten classroom teaching. They partnered and founded Eclipse School, a wonderful Pre-K school, which they operated out of Shea's home in Pacific Palisades, California. Starting from scratch, they committed themselves to teaching young children at a critical time in their lives.

On Tuesday this week, Beth and Shea welcomed Eclipse’s students back from winter break, and before lunch, everyone evacuated. One day later, along with everything in Pacific Palisades, Eclipse School was gone. The entire school, and Shea's home, suffered a 100% loss in the devastating Palisades Fire.

Beth and Shea are Eclipse School, not the building and materials. They will find a new location for the school, but unlike four years ago, they will start with nothing. They and their students need help to replace all the supplies and furniture they had invested in.

When the kids return to school, they will need tables and chairs, books (over 1,000 lost), building blocks, math games, learning toys, and play structures. Beth and Shea will need a printer, a laminator, binders, paper, scissors, and markers. This is really just the beginning, and the restock will take years. Beth and Shea estimate they invested somewhere between $20K to $40K in these supplies. Please help us raise at least $20K to help get Eclipse School back up and running for these talented educators and for their students.
