Big Push to reach target for Beth's brain tumour treatment

Update on Beth
Whilst the donations towards Beth's alternative treatments have been very generous , we are yet to reach the target still to get her towards the goal cost of the treatment
She is doing OK, but the brain metastases are not disappearing and she desperately wants to have the opportunity to try and shrink them / eliminate them as soon as possible, before they get worse.
She has done well this past year since her diagnosis and tolerated the conventional treatment well, but she is weakened from all the chemo and radiation and would benefit from alternative, more gentle treatments.
Please do share the link and let's push for the goal. We need to get another £18k to get her the treatment she so desperately needs.
My original message (sent in December)
Hi everyone, for those that don't know me, my name is Ruth and I'm a very close friend of our lovely Beth. We, as a group of friends, have set up this Go Fund Me page in the hope of helping Beth and most importantly her little boy help keep his mumma.
We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts, sharing the challenging journey that Beth and her 8-year-old son are facing. Eight and a bit years ago Beth fought a courageous battle with breast cancer and won. Sadly, just 2 years into Beth's remission, the cancer has returned, this time with a vengeance, metastasizing and spreading to her spine, liver, lymph nodes, pelvis and brain.
If you know Beth, then you won't be surprised that she has given everything in her power to fight this. For the past 8 months, Beth has undergone intense chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy, displaying incredible bravery, unwavering strength and resilience. Despite her courageous efforts, and whilst other tumours throughout her body have shown some slowing/reduction, these conventional treatments have not helped the brain tumours, as chemotherapy struggles to cross the blood / brain barrier. She has recently undergone radiotherapy to the brain at the Royal Marsden, but the outcome of the treatment again is likely just to slow progress or halt whatever is already there.
Her only long-term hope is to seek alternative ground-breaking treatment elsewhere. In our pursuit of this hope, we have researched alternative treatments that aren't readily available in the UK. A clinic in Mexico has had success stories in reducing or even eliminating brain tumours. This treatment could offer her a real chance to improve the quality of her life.
Accessing these treatments comes with a significant financial burden, and the cost is between £45K and £50K. While Beth summons up the courage and energy she needs for her next battle, our goal is to raise the money that will make it possible. All contributions, whatever the amount, will help us reach this goal and give Beth the chance she so desperately needs.
Beth was first diagnosed with cancer eight and a half years ago, just weeks before her son was born. As a single parent, and with sheer will and bravery, Beth confronted and overcame that diagnosis and several challenging years that followed, only to receive the devastating news in April this year, that the cancer had returned.
Her eight year-old boy needs his Mum, and for as long as possible. Beth needs more time and a better quality of life so that she can focus on being the mother and parent that he needs. It’s imperative that she’s around for as long as possible, giving him the love and care he requires and making the memories that all children deserve.
The immediate target is to slow down the cancer progression and to access treatments that support Beth's quality of life. Please help us do everything in our power to keep Beth alive.
Our goal is to raise the money to cover the cost of Beth's treatment in Mexico. We would be grateful for anything that you are able to contribute. Your help and generosity will not only alleviate the financial strain on the family, more importantly, it will provide Beth with the opportunity to pursue a path that could make a life-changing difference.
Thank you!
