Help Beth Go To World Scout Jamboree 2023, Korea
Donation protected
My name is Beth Harvie and I have been lucky enough to be selected to represent the UK at the World Scout Jamboree 2023 in South Korea. I will be going with 35 other Explorer Scouts from East Scotland.
I have been involved in Scouting for nearly five years, since I was 10. I love Scouting because of the many opportunities and challenges it offers. Scouting enables me to both develop my independence and team working skills. I love taking part in the many outdoor activities we do. Scouting has given me the chance to meet lots of new people and to try new things, and it allows me to make a worthwhile contribution to our local community.
When I go to South Korea I hope to develop as a person. I hope to make lots of new friends and to learn about different cultures all across the world. I am excited for the many activities we will do and to see a completely different part of the world.
To raise the money I need to go to South Korea, I will be undertaking several challenges. My first challenge is to climb Ben Nevis - the highest mountain in Great Britain - in May.
I would be really grateful if you were able to make a donation or sponsor me here to help me reach my fundraising target!
(As I am under 18, my parents will be handling the bank side of things.)
I will be posting updates here, if possible, and to my fundraising FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/BethsWSJFundraising
Thank you for reading, and thank you for your help.
