Help Betty Wetter Get Better
Donation protected
Hello lovely people,
We are raising money for the wonderful Scotty Cayton, AKA Betty Wetter. Both Scotty and Betty are iconic Seattle staples (detailed here in this Betty Wetter feature from The Stranger). On the evening of May 21, Scotty was in a bicycle accident resulting in a broken elbow and ulna that required major surgery, along with multiple broken teeth, stitches in the lip and chin, and road rash from head to toe, that will put them out of work and in recovery for many weeks. Scotty is currently at home working on regaining strength but will be unable to work for an extended period of time while they recover. This has and will put a major stress on their financial situation. This money will be used to pay medical expenses, rent, utilities, food, and make up for lost gigs.
They have continued to find unique ways to perform and inspire during the pandemic, especially pouring themselves into their monthly artistic fundraising events that have raised $10,000+ over the last 12 months for foundations such as Real Rent Duwamish, Rainier Valley Food Bank, Covid 19 Mutual Aid, and Washington Black Trans Task Force. Everything Scotty does revolves around their sense of community, so now it is our time to share that sentiment and help out our talented and dynamic friend!
Please donate whatever you can, everything counts. And please share so others can donate!!
**Any excess funds will be donated to Washington Black Trans Task Force**
Haven’t you been waiting for this pandemic to end so you can see Betty Wetter perform again? Host your favorite event? Participate in the best trivia you’ve ever experienced? Continue to fall in love with her if you’re a lesbian? Or see more of Scotty’s gorgeous collage art? You can count on all this and more if we come together to lift them up so they can recover and get back doing what we love so much.

Check out Scotty’s Instagram for original collage art that will make you want to have a wall dedicated to their work in your home
