Help Bev After the Sudden Loss of Her Beloved Husband, Glenn

On 30 March 2025, Glenn and Beverley Stein set off on their very first cruise — a gift from their son, who had come into some unexpected funds and wanted to give his parents a well-deserved break. For this humble, hardworking couple — classic Aussie battlers who had always put others first — it was a dream come true. Glenn was like a kid at Christmas, brimming with excitement as they boarded the Carnival Luminosa in Brisbane.

But just a few days into their trip, tragedy struck.

On Wednesday 2 April, Glenn suffered a serious medical emergency. Despite receiving care on board throughout the day, he was airlifted from the ship to Bundaberg Hospital. Devastatingly, Glenn passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Glenn and Bev had been married for over 50 years — a lifetime of love, loyalty, and shared memories. The shock and heartbreak of losing Glenn so suddenly has left an unfillable void in our family.

Bev is not only grieving the loss of her life partner, but is now also facing overwhelming financial pressure. The medical costs from the cruise alone amount to thousands of dollars, plus the expense of the emergency life flight helicopter, adding to the burden of funeral expenses and the cost of transporting Glenn’s body from Bundaberg back to Brisbane. It's an immense load to carry on top of such heartbreaking loss.
