Help Beverly McCoy pay for her husband's funeral
Donation protected
Beverly McCoy lost her husband of 29 years, Joe, on Thursday, May 6, 2022. Joe spent many years driving a truck for St. Charles Market and then Grey's Construction. He later worked for Raymond Hymer Plumbing, Lohden's Repair Service, and Priceless IGA. Joe was diagnosed with dementia in 2019 and slowly started deteriorating. He contracted COVID in December and then developed COVID pneumonia in January. From this point, he deteriorated fairly quickly and never recovered. He passed away with Beverly and 2 of his children by his side on Thursday.
This loss has been devastating for them, and, unfortunately, the insurance policy that Joe had been carrying was only for special diseases and not a life insurance policy. Beverly now has to come up with the money to pay for his funeral expenses, and Joe was the sole source of income for the family. I have started this page as a way to help raise funds so Beverly can pay for his funeral expenses and to help her financially until she can get her surviving spouse's portion of his Social Security benefits started.
Any money you could donate would be greatly appreciated and beneficial to this family in their time of need. His funeral is Tuesday, May 10 and the funeral home has only given them until June 10 to pay off his funeral expenses.
