Help Beza Getahun In The Fight For Her Life

On Monday November 27, 2023, our beloved Beza Gethahun was returning home from a leisurely walk with her mom and her one-year-old son in a stroller when tragedy struck. An uninsured car, driven by a 17-year-old, appeared seemingly out of nowhere and struck her. In an act of selfless heroism, she pushed her loved ones away from harm, absorbing the impact herself.

This traumatic event resulted in a severe brain injury that quickly escalated to cardiac arrest. Swift action by first responders included CPR, leading to her immediate transfer to the local hospital. Emergency brain surgery became imperative due to internal bleeding, requiring doctors to bravely open her head to release the pressure. Through the power of love and prayer, the surgery was successful, yet Beza remains in a coma, sustained by a life support ventilator.

To those who know Beza, her vibrant energy and loving character are undeniable. Her infectious smile can light up any room, and her positivity is a testament to her spirit. As a cherished daughter, sister, friend, devoted wife, and loving mother to her one-year-old son, Beza's love knows no bounds.

Beza's current condition is precarious, labeled as extremely critical. While we fervently pray for her swift recovery through divine mercy, the journey ahead is daunting. Extensive medical care, treatments, and rehabilitation are vital, accompanied by substantial expenses.

On December 8, Beza underwent a successful minor procedure designed to enhance her breathing. Although she was still dependent on the ventilator at that time, there were promising signs as she demonstrated some ability to breathe independently.

As of December 10, there have been notable advancements in Beza's condition. She has been intermittently on and off the ventilator, successfully managing to be off the ventilator for several hours during the day. This marks a positive step forward in her recovery journey, and we are hopeful for continued improvement.

Wednesday January 10, 2024

On January 6, 2024, Beza was successfully transported from INOVA Fairfax to Inova Mount Vernon Long-Term Care Facility without any issues. The transition went smoothly, and Beza is now settling into the new environment.

While Beza is not awake yet, we remain hopeful and trust that God is in control . The family is deeply grateful for all the prayers and support received.

Let's continue to collectively pray for Beza's healing and that the best possible care is provided at the new facility. Your unwavering support has been a source of strength throughout this process.

እታችን ቤዛ ጌታሁን ህዳር 17፣ 2016 ዓ.ም (ኖቬምበር 27፣2023 እ.አ) ከእናትዋ እና ከአንድ አመት ህጻን ልጇ ጋር ጋሪ(ስትሮለር) እየገፋች አየር ተቀብለው ወደቤት በእግር በመመለስ ላይ ሳሉ አስቃቂ የመኪና አደጋ ደርሶባታል። ኢንሺራንስ የሌላት የ17 አመት ታዳጊ በምታሽከረክረው መኪና ቤዛ እጅግ ከባድ አደጋ ደርሶባታል።

ከራስ ወዳድነት ነፃ በሆነ ተግባር፣ እናትና ልጇን ወደጎን በማድረግ ከአደጋው አትርፋ፣ ራሷን ግን ለመታደግ ጊዜ አልነበራትም።

 

በደረሰባት ከባድ የመኪና አደጋ ልቧ በመቆሙ የአደጋ ጊዜ ተጠሪ ባለሙያዎች ባደረጉት የልብ ማንሰራራት ጥረት ህይወቷ ሊተርፍ ችሎ በአቅራቢያው ወደሚገኝው የህክምና ማዕከል ተወስዳልች። ሆኖም ግን የደርሰባት አደጋ ከባድ ስለነበረ የጭንቅላት ቀዶ ጥገና ተደርጎላት በአዕምሮዋ ውስጥ የተቋጠረውን ደም ሐኪሞቹ ለማፍሰስ ችለዋል። የተደረገላት የአዕምሮ ቀዶ ጥገና የተሳካ ቢሆንም ቤዛ በኮማ ውስጥ ሆና በመተንፈሻ ማሽን (ቬንትሊተር) በመታገዛ አየተነፈሰች በሞትና በህይወት መካከል ትገኛለች።

 

ቤዛ ሰውን ሁሉ አክባሪና ወዳጅ፤ፈገግታዋ ከሰው ሁሉ ልብ የማይወጣ፤ በብዙዎች የተመሰከረላት ተወዳጅ ልጅ፤ መልካም እህት ፤ ታማኝ ጓደኛ እና ሚስት ስትሆን።በተለይ ለአንድ አመት ልጇ ያላት ፍቅር ወሰን የለውም።

 

ቤዛ አሁን ያለችበት ሁኔታ እጅግ በጣም አሳሳቢ የሚል ስያሜ ተሰጥቶታል። እግዚአብሔር በመለኮታዊ ምሕረቱ በፍጥነት እንዲያድናት በትጋት እየጸለይን ። መጪው ጉዞ በጣም ከባድ ስለሆነ፤ መጠነ ሰፊ የሕክምና ወጪ እና እንክብካቤ ስለሚጠይቅ፤ እርዳታችሁን ለመጠየቅ ተገደናል።እህታችን የእናንተን ቅን ልብ ያላችሁን እገዛ ትሻለችና በጸሎትም በገንዘንም ከጎኗ እንድትቆሙ ስንስል በትህትና እንጠይቃለን።
