We are Bianca Janine Pettis and Jacob Aaron Roske, a longtime creative duo known as Beatrix*Jar.

We’ve been fundraising since December to stay afloat while facing nonstop health and financial struggles. We’re exhausted, and honestly? We need support now more than ever.

The Reality We’re Facing Right Now

I've been developing an AI Comic as a tool to process what has happened. Here is a small sample:

Jacob’s health – Two brain surgeries (Hydrocephalus), seizures, epilepsy diagnosis, and recovery from a car accident.

Bianca’s health – While caregiving, I’ve been dealing with ADHD, CPTSD, and an upcoming thyroid surgery that was delayed because I got the flu. I feel run down.

Financial strain—We’re still short on rent, medical costs, and basic necessities like food and bills.

We initially set out to raise $21,000, but we’ve scaled it down to $11,000 to focus on what we need to get through.

We’re Tired, But We’re Not Giving Up

This campaign was never about luxury—it’s about survival. We’ve been fighting for months but are still not where we need to be. Right now, we need:

✅ Rent & living costs while we recover.

✅ Medical expenses for upcoming treatments.

✅ Time to figure out what’s next without sinking further into crisis.

The truth is, we’re out of energy. But we still have hope that there are people out there who care.
