Help Bianca Get Heart Surgery ♥

Since 2020, I haven't been able to swallow correctly. During that first month of the pandemic, I lost 15 pounds from my inability to swallow food and liquids. At first, I thought it was simply an issue with my ability to swallow. But after speaking with specialists for months, we found that I have an aberrant right subclavian artery - a.k.a. my heart pipe is in the wrong spot and it’s hugging my esophagus.
At first, with symptoms coming down, I thought I was going to be okay. I started having to juggle other responsibilities at the same time - my first two years of pandemic teaching, supporting my single mother and my three siblings, and the loss of my grandfather last year. But due to the heightened stress and blood pressure, my choking has become more severe. There are days that I can't handle eating or drinking anything without choking or struggling. I can't leave my responsibilities and my passions, so I need to get this surgery now.
My surgery is scheduled for August 31st at UCLA. Following the surgery, I will be recovering for approximately 12 weeks during which I can’t work. This Gofundme will go towards my medical bills - the surgery, the hospital stay, and the follow-up MRIs and doctor’s appointments. Because I will be on an unpaid leave of absence, I will be using this money to go towards expenses such as rent, utilities, and groceries. Any extra funds will go towards supporting me and my family.
I’m so thankful to all those who have been with me throughout this journey. I am appreciative of any amount you decide to give. Any little bit helps. If you prefer to donate directly, you can send me money through Venmo @biancat28 or Zelle.
Thank you for continuing to help and support me through this difficult time
