Help Big Joe Maher Beat the Blues

My good friend and many of yours, Big Joe Maher, needs a little help from his friends.

While in Florida on April 13, Joe was ready to perform at the Tampa Bay Blues Festival when he was struck by a medical emergency that landed him in the ER, which turned into an eleven-day stay in the hospital. His initial surgery to remove his gallbladder was complicated, and he nearly did not make it through, leaving a large wound to heal. The complications led to a second surgery two days afterward, and he is still dealing with the repercussions of both surgeries.

Joe is back home in MD but is taking some time off to heal properly, even though he is anxious to return to work. As we all know, medical bills don’t wait, so I’m asking for us all to help a friend whose bills are expected to exceed $6500. We all know what it’s like to be in a bind, and Joe has helped many of us along the way.
