Help Bill Crook get back on his feet

For 25+ years, Bill Crook has been building outstanding customized guitars for music superstars – such as country artist Brad Paisley – and the non-superstar players like the rest of us who appreciate his high-quality instruments. Bill has the distinction of being one of the few craftsmen who meticulously builds exactly to each player’s vision.

Recently, Bill developed medical problems with his leg and both hands, which made it impossible for him to do what he loves, and what earns him a living.

Bill’s leg surgery in September of 2023 initially went well, but complications quickly arose - a severe infection - which sent him back to the hospital for a second major surgery. What was supposed to be a few weeks of recovery from one surgery turned into a scary nightmare of an emergency ambulance trip, too many days in hospital beds, and a second painful surgery.

And the journey continues as Bill convalesces at home, but with 6 weeks of IV antibiotics while keeping his leg elevated. And on top of that, in the near future, he faces dealing with time off work again for hand treatments.

Bill is a one-man show. When he’s not building his highly-prized guitars, he’s not earning anything. While Bill initially planned for tightening his belt to handle a certain amount lost work hours/income and the anticipated out-of-pocket medical expenses, the complications have substantially increased his expenses and delayed his getting back to work.

Please help Bill get back on his feet (figuratively and literally), so he can start doing what he loves to do – building exceptional instruments for us!
