Help Bill & Rhonda with medical bills

Donation protected

Hi Everyone. This is Natalie writing to you all, one of Bill's daughters. As many of you know my dad hasn’t been able to work due to his ankle replacement surgery caused by a work injury years ago and now is admitted to the ICU at St Alexius. On Thursday mom noticed that dad was super lethargic and out of it and was asking odd questions, having frequent falls and not making total sense. By Friday we had him in the ER and had a various of labs and tests done. Basically, we don’t have definitive answers at this point, but dad’s calcium was 18 in the ER Friday which is super high and creatinine was 4.2 which is also very high. These numbers revealed that his kidneys aren’t functioning as they should be and aren’t excreting the toxins, which is making dad lethargic and confused. Today, Sunday, his calcium has come down to 12.1, doctors want it at 10 or lower. If for some reason his calcium goes up and/or his Creatinine doesn’t come down, they will have to do dialysis but we aren’t there currently. He is currently sedated in the ICU until those levels come down, but the more concerning issue is why his calcium levels are so high. The ICU doctor said it’s either related to the parathyroid gland and chronic kidney disease that’s been going on for awhile or also a likely chance that it’s related to multiple myeloma. We are most importantly waiting for the parathyroid results which will tell a lot and the labs that diagnose multiple myeloma. We should know answers by Tuesday. So please pray. I will try to keep everyone posted on here best I can so mom can be with dad and not have so many phone calls. Also when dad fell he re-broke his ankle that he was already having troubles with. My dad has a long road ahead of him, but we strongly believe in the power of prayer, so we are mainly asking for your prayers. If you know my dad, he never complains about anything, is willing to help anyone and everyone, and is the most genuine person I’ve ever met. Thank you in advance and God bless.
