Our beautiful friend Billie (BJ) Freeman, Single Mom of two amazing boys needs our help as she starts the biggest battle of her life: The Battle against Pancreatic Cancer!
On May 9, 2020 BJ went to the hospital after being very ill. It was then that her world would be turned upside down. After getting MRI/CT scans, she received the devastating news from her doctors. She had developed an aggressive form of Pancreatic Cancer.
BJ has been going to MD Anderson at least twice a week. The medical bills are nonstop. Even after insurance and payments she has been making, she still owes over $28.000. Of course this number will just continue to grow as she fights this battle. The week of Thanksgiving she will be having surgery that will put her out of work for 4-6 weeks. The procedure she will endure is very extensive - the Whipple procedure. This surgery takes 5-8 hours to complete.
Supporting her two boys while undergoing such illness and treatment is something that no mother should have to stress about. Even though she has been chronically ill since May, this mamma is still working 5 days a week and is mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted. Through it all, she is trying to stay strong and protect her young boys, (9 & 12) from this battle she is facing. he is an amazing woman with a positive personality that does not go unnoticed even as she is facing some of the hardest times in her life.
