Autistic man & sister homeless for the holidays

Hi my name is Angela and I am Lauren and Billy’s sister in law. I’m reaching out for help as they have been left homeless after a devastating house fire.

Billy is a 30 year old non verbal Autistic man who was residing in the family home with his sister and caregiver Lauren after the passing of their father just one month ago. On the evening of December 15th the home was completely destroyed by fire and has left them homeless and with no personal belongings. The insurance was for mortgage purposes and no content, therefore they are unable to help us with housing or replacing lost belongings. To make matters more complicated as their father passed his estate is still in probate. As we navigate next steps any help would go greatly appreciated so we can help Billy and Lauren rebuild their lives while keeping them housed and safe. At this time all they have is the clothes and shoes they left the house with. Every little bit counts even if you can only spare a small amount. Thank you.
