Help Billy Wilson Beat Brain Cancer
Three weeks ago, our family was introduced to the scary world of glioblastoma.
It's heart-stopping.
Billy Wilson, my 55 year old brother who has always exercised, eaten right and been the picture of health, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma following surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital to remove a cancerous brain tumor.
Billy will now have to begin the fight of his life. He will begin radiation and chemo this week, with a plan of working at his job as an associate director of compliance at Delaware Life Insurance as much as he can.
The current standard of care for treatment and outcomes for this disease falls short of what our whole family, Billy and his wife Sue and their two boys, Derek and Mark are willing to accept.
There has been promise with newer, individualized treatment plans in addition to chemotherapy and radiation and we want that for Billy! He has way too much life left to live!
People have been asking how they can help. Your prayers for a successful outcome and strength for his family have gone so far already, so please keep them coming!
We've also set up a GoFundMe page with the goal of relieving the financial burden of the massive medical bills that are already adding up~even with good health insurance! Let's help Billy and his family focus their emotional energy on healing rather than worry about bills! No donation is too small.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all for your support and prayers and will keep you all updated.
