Help Bimbo beat cancer for the third time!

Hi family and friends, we set up this gofundme page to help support my dad, Bimbo, as he goes through the next part of fight against Stage 4 Nasopharyngeal Cancer.

 

Here is my dad’s story:

 

My dad was first diagnosed with stage 3 Nasopharyngeal cancer in November 2018. He went through chemotherapy and numerous radiotherapy sessions. By the grace of God, he was cleared of cancer by June 2019.

 

 

 

 

 

Through a routine check up in January 2020, however, we found that the cancer metastasised into his liver and bones. Due to the size of the cancer mass in his liver (5cm x 4cmx 6cm), my dad had to endure even more aggressive cycles of chemotherapy from February 2020 until August 2020.

 

 

 

 

 

In September 2020, we received the best news from his doctor- my strong  and amazing dad beat cancer a second time around! We were over the moon- beyond ecstatic! Upon the reccomendation of Oncologist, my dad continued to go through oral chemotherapy until June 2021 to lower the risk of the cancer's return.

 

 

 

Despite his battle with cancer, he continued to tirelessly work in order to provide for his family and never complained about his situation. I knew what he was going through was tough but he always remained positive and hopeful. He remained the pillar of our family's strength even as his illness continue to test him. 

 

A few months ago, my dad started to feel severe chronic pain in his back, legs and his knees. The pain severely affected his mobility, sleep and overall wellbeing. After going through further medical scans and procedures, we learned that a massive malignant tumour (9cmx 10 cm) grew on his lower spine which appears to have been the root of his  excruciating immobilising pain. He is yet again set to undergo eight cycles of chemotherapy from the 23rd of October 2021 until 1st of January 2022.

 

The time between his cancer treatments hasn’t been kind to us and has been really difficult for my family, especially my dad- emotionally, physically and financially. Our resources to sustain medical treatment is slowly being depleted and I've realised that we may need help getting through the next few months. That being said, I set up this campaign to help support my dad win his third fight against cancer. All the funds raised will be allocated to his treatments which includes eight chemotherapy cycles and his pain management medicine.

 

My dad, being the fighter that he is, has defied the odds twice and when asked, he says he is ready to fight again. I know that he will BEAT cancer again for the third time!
