Help Biruk afford his Masters at Johns Hopkins

If you don’t already know him, Biruk Kebede is a senior Health Science major at Whitworth. He is also an international student from Ethiopia, where he had witnessed an urgent need to curb illnesses and deaths among the vulnerable — which, in turn, had driven him to pursue a career in public health.

 

His hard-work and commitment in community service, campus leadership, and his studies, have been awarded by Whitworth and other organizations, and he was recently accepted into his dream school,  Johns Hopkins University, where he could gather a most valuable experience to be of impact as a public health advocate.

 

However, his tuition benefits would only be applied to his second year, and so he would need our support to fund his first year and continue in his studies/dreams. Else, he would have to leave the United States soon (while premature in his educational goals) and all his efforts would be wasted.
