Help Biscuit against her mast cell tumor

Donation protected
August 31st, 2023 UPDATE:

Thank you again to all donors that helped pitch in for Biscuit’s mastectomy! I really really appreciate all your help.

Biscuit’s surgery date got moved up and she came back home yesterday evening. The surgery was a success and the tumor was sent to get biopsied to see whether there’s a chance it’ll develop again or not, fingers crossed that it won’t come back!

During surgery the veterinarian ran tests and said that it looked like Biscuit was in the clear and that the tumor didn’t spread to any other part of her body and/or organs. I’m so relieved!

Biscuit is currently recovering at home and sleeping the pain off. She was whimpering all night and it broke my heart, but she’s doing much better today! She refused to eat all of last night so I was worried but she finally got her appetite back and had some food this morning.

Here are some photos of her when she got back last night and today after waking up some more from anesthesia.

Again, thank you so much for the support ❤️❤️

UPDATE: Thank you so much for the help everyone, I truly appreciate it.
Biscuit's surgery date has been scheduled and approved for September 1st, 2023.
Once that date has passed, I will update you all about her healing process and what the vets
say about the mast cell tumor. They plan to send the tumor away to get it biopsied after it has been surgically removed. You have no idea how grateful I am. <3 I'm hoping that they don't find any more issues during or after the surgery and that she stays with me for many more years to come!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hello, my name is Keye and I have a 6 year old mixed breed dog named Biscuit.

Recently, a cyst formed near Biscuit's abdomen area so I took her to get it checked out by a vet and the vet advised me that it was most likely a blood cyst and nothing serious to be worried about. The vet told me to keep an eye on it, on the off chance that it got bigger, but it looked like I wouldn't have much to worry about since most likely, Biscuit's body would reabsorb it back into her body.

A couple of months pass and the cyst tripled in size. Feeling quite alarmed, I took Biscuit back to the vet for her annual check-up and requested that her cyst be re-examined. This is when the vet became more concerned after seeing how big the bump got. The vet suggested that I do a fine-needle aspiration (FNA). FNA involves taking a small needle with a syringe and suctioning a sample of cells directly from the tumor and examining it under a microscope to see whether it is malignant or benign. I paid around $260 out of pocket for this test, which unfortunately the results came back as inconclusive. However, Biscuit's blood test made the vet raise their eyebrow and they highly recommended the surgery as well as a CT scan while she is unconscious to check whether she has more tumors inside her body.

So far Biscuit hasn't been acting lethargic, but she has been throwing-up bile. I live paycheck to paycheck and cannot afford this operation on my own which is why I am asking for help on gofundme. I don't expect to reach the goal, but any amount helps. Please help Biscuit live a full and longer life with me, she is my everything and I love her so much. I can't imagine losing her so soon.
