Help BJ Pitre's Family Fight Brain Cancer
Donation protected
BJ was diagnosed with an inoperable high risk wild type Astrocytoma (form of brain cancer) in May 2017 and was told that it would progress quickly. He has beaten a lot of odds already after going through multiple rounds of chemotherapy. It has been a physically painful battle with regular trips to the emergency room just to try to manage his pain level. Thankfully, BJ had a wonderful Christmas Holiday with his family. Unfortunately, his last MRI, taken just after the new year, shows progression.
BJ and his wife, Julee, have been married 14 years and have three kids of their own, Connor (11), Alyson (8), and Hannah (5). Plus, they are hosting Nikolas (16) a foreign exchange student from Vienna. They actually hosted Nikolas' brother, Max, a few years ago and jumped at the opportunity to host Nikolas even with the all that is going on with BJ's health. This wonderful family is rarely without smiles as they work together in fighting BJ's cancer. They also spend a lot of time helping new cancer families understand the process at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
So many people want to help and do something to keep this family's spirits up. Since BJ's diagnosis some of his college friends and fraternity brothers have struggled with finding a way to help or even the right words to say to let BJ know how much we love him. We formulated a plan and we are reaching out to you to help alleviate the financial burden that this family has faced , and will continue to face fighting BJs cancer. Please consider showing your love for this family during such a challenging time. No amount is too small. BJ loves words of encouragement so please reach out to him by phone, email, Facebook, etc.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you , I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
