Help Black Girls See The Little Mermaid!

Donation protected
If you're anything like me, you squealed in delight when Halle Bailey was announced as the new Ariel in the upcoming The Little Mermaid live-action film. It's an exciting time to be a Black girl who loves all things fantasy and animation. As a fan of both, I knew that I wanted to do whatever I could to help Black girls see this film and to create a comfortable safe space for them to do so in community. I've reserved a showing of the film for May 27th at the Broad Theater and I'll be distributing tickets to New Orleans' organizations that work directly with Black girls. We’ll also have some individual ones too that community members can claim to bring their families to this special event. If we make more than the goal we’ll cover snacks and a face painter for our lil mamas. Donate today to help make this day of Black joy a reality! Our girls deserve it!
