Help Black Muslim Sisters Leave Their Abusive Home

Hi, I am making this gofundme for my younger sister and I anonymously because I fear the backlash of my family. We are Black Muslim women in our 20's desperately trying to leave our physically, emotionally, verbally and financially abusive home.  Throughout our whole lives in this violent and controlling household/family we have been regularly physically beaten at the hands of our older brothers.  As well as verbally and emotionally abused with threats that if we ever call the police, "we wont be breathing by the time they arrive" and  that "they'd break our necks and knock our teeth out ". My younger sister has passed out from beatings she has received from one of our older brothers. We also contribute to the finances of the household which has left us unable to put money aside for our own savings. 

The COVID-19 pandemic and unemployment has forced us to be around our abusers 24/7 and as a result rapidly deteriorated our mental health.  No one outside of our family knows what goes on in this home. We've been forced to be silent and endure it all alone. We need to get out. The money raised will be going to restarting our lives independently. It will be going to long term housing (rent), groceries, furniture and freedom. It would mean so much to have any support possible and to see a life outside of this house. 

I know that we are all struggling and I'm so mad that many black women face these same situations. I want more for all of us. We need to protect black women.
