Help Black Queer Raise Funds for Life Expenses
Donation protected
We're raising money for our friend Ana Davis, a Black queer person whose unemployment ran up about two weeks ago. Pre-COVID, Ana was supposed to go on tour to tour manage multiple bands, and had a year long plan worked out. Before leaving for tour, Ana invested a lot of money to maintain a new venue/art space/collective/housing in Richmond that she was living in, which ended up being too expensive to keep alive. With COVID's impacts creating unpredictable life circumstances, Ana was set back (like many) and was hit hard financially and mentally.
She's been applying for work the last few months, but has had little luck. Now that her unemployment is out, she is trying to find ways to raise money to fix her car to eventually move out of Virginia as soon as possible and into a more stable living situation.
Your money will be going toward:
-Car repairs
-First month's rent + security deposit
-Living expenses + Moving to Chicago
-Plane ticket
