Help Blake Win The Battle Against Leukemia

Just a few weeks shy of his 13th birthday (July 4th) we were given some devastating news that he has cancer. He was given the diagnosis of t cell lymphoblastic leukemia.....We took him to the ER for what we assumed was pneumonia. He had shortness of breath....the ER informed us that we would need to go to Hershey right away. Upon arrival we were given the devastating news of a collapsed right lung and a substantially large mass in his chest. It was all so unreal, like a nightmare. Further testing of his bone marrow showed that he has t cell lymphoblastic leukemia. He had a chest tube put in to release some of the fluid build up from the mass and had it in for a good 4-5 days ( if not longer, time seemed to blend all together at that point). He has been through numerous bone marrow biopsies, spinal taps, we had a picc line placement and removal, and a chest port put in.This has turned our world completely upside down. In the moments when he should be enjoying his summer break we are now living a literal nightmare. This has put a large strain on us financially and emotionally. He will need outpatient treatment atleast once a week which will cause missed time from work without pay. His father has intermittent fmla through his job but it is unpaid. Im unable to work at the moment since his medical needs are so great.. We are currently 50 miles from home and will have to travel that distance every week (sometimes multiple times a week) for the 3 1/2 year treatment.
