Help Blake & US Team Defend Gold at Fly Fishing Championship

Hey all, as the mom of 15 year old, Blake Hall, US Youth Fly Fishing Team member, I have created this fundraiser in an effort to help with the costs associated with his participation in the 21st Fips-Mouche World Youth Fly Fishing Championship in Vyssi Brod, Czech Republic. He will be competing with 5 other youth team members in August 2024, representing the United States, defending the gold medal they earned in last year's world championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina! He is extremely proud and honored to be a member of the team and to have been chosen to represent his country in this super competitive arena, where the best youth anglers in the world, from many different countries, go head to head, against one another and against mother nature, with so many factors being out of their control and changing by the minute.

Blake began fly fishing at age 10, competitively, just before turning 13, and has fished nearly every day since. His dedication as awarded him several achievements and some local recognition, but the experiences, friendships, and memories are most treasured. His passion has only continued to grow, as he still spends countless hours on the water, chatting up his fishing buddies and contacts, watching videos, tying flies, and continuing to compete, challenging himself against other youth and adult anglers, whenever and wherever he can. After every competition, no matter where he placed, when asked how it went, his reply is, "I've got some stuff to work on." He strives to continue to grow, improve, and experience all he can in this wonderful world of fly fishing and continues to do it because he "learns something new every time" he is on the water.

The costs of competing in the world championship are substantial, and we would be most appreciative if you are able and willing to help him get there. His individual costs are estimated at $5500, which includes airfare and transportation, lodging, food, competition wear, guide service, and registration fees. Any and all money raised will go directly to his individual costs and are TAX DEDUCTIBLE, so spread the word to your business and company associates and administrators!
