Help Blind Kitty Found Tossed Out Like Trash

Tax deductible

Who puts a loving cat on the street in a locked basket like trash?

My rescue buddy Kim and I saw a Facebook post from another neighbor who found something horrible while walking her dog - a cat in a basket on the street alone. We dropped everything and ran to get her!

This beautiful cat was put inside a wicker basket, dry food dumped in after her, the basket was then closed and put in a trash bag, and discarded on the street in front of an abandoned building.

This cat is BLIND! How could they be so cruel!

When we found her she was terrified, not knowing what was happening or where she was. Left outside in the NY cold, she was shivering and frozen in fear. Yet the minute I reached in and touched her head, scratched her ears, she began purring.

Well she is now SAFE! And thanks to @puppykittyNYcity she has been placed in foster care until we can evaluate her health and decide what to do with her.

The cat has been named “Kimmie the Basket Kitty” after my rescue buddy, 16 year old @kimcorrigan who already dedicates her spare
time to helping kitties in need. This is the 5th one this year Kim and I got off the streets. (Thank you to all who’ve donated!)

Kimmie Cat is not doing well. Shes confused, walking in circles, and seems to have some neurological issues, or stress, because she’s wetting herself. But beside her poor condition, she’s a fighter, and is loving. An sweet. She melts when petted, and let the foster bath her. She seemed to know someone was helping her. She had a good report from the first vet visit, her blood tests were good, and she can be nursed to
being a healthy pet for someone.

Please help with any donation you can. All the money goes directly to PuppykittyNYcity who
placed her in foster and will continue to care and pay for her medical care, even after she finds a home they will help. Kim and I
continue to help this wonderful rescue group. The same day they happily took Basket Kitty they had two other emergency rescues. They are non stop
helping cats and dogs, to an alarming degree. But they need your help with funding! They are a legit rescue 501c3.

Please donate, even a few dollars will help. Larger donations are greatly appreciated too! And it’s tax deductible!

Kimmie the kitty thanks you
and I will post updates to her story soon.

If you are interested in adopting this special beauty, our blind girl, please reach out to the below.

Again, the money will go directly to Puppy Kitty NYC for Basket Kitty’s care.
