Help Blossom the Jersey Cow Bloom
Tax deductible
Meet Blossom. She's a two year old Jersey raised on a dairy farm. Blossom broke her leg when she was a week old but it looks like nothing was done to repair it. She gets around on it but she is a survivor and knows nothing else. Though we don't know for sure, we think she had a calf. Now at two years old, we think the owners realized that she could not carry another calf. They didn't have any use for her and didn't want to send her to slaughter so we were able to bring her to the rescue farm. We are now working on having a brace made by Veterinary Inclusive Prosthetics And Orthotics, if it is possible. Dr Marcella will come and hopefully make a cast so the brace can be made.
There are many pros and cons to having a brace or even amputating and making a prosthetic, which would cost thousands more and may cause more problems. We are trying to do the right thing. We want her to have a happy future but without the support of a brace, we are afraid her leg may just give out. We need your help to make Blossom bloom into a beautiful flower of a cow.
