Help Blythe Adopt a Dog and Divorce a Human

My family is growing! And hopefully also shrinking, but I need your help to do both.

The Fun Part!

Let's start with the dog. If you know me, you probably know that about 3 years ago, I adopted a puppy and kitten that were found together on the streets.

Yes, they're like a Disney movie brought to life, and yes, they still love each other very much. This is Gwen and Miles now:

The same friends who found those two together found another pup dropped near them recently who looks remarkably similar to Gwen. The same markings, likely a similar mix of breeds, and dumped in the same place. I highly suspect that she is probably very closely related to Gwen, maybe even a sister!

They took her to the shelter, but after some time and no adoption prospects, the shelter was going to put her down. We tried to find an adopter or a foster to no avail. My heart was breaking for this sweet girl. Eventually, I told my friends to go pull her from the shelter, and if we can find a way to get her to LA, I'll adopt her.

So they did! My friends got her out of the shelter alive, named her MJ, and have been taking excellent care of her since then, while she recovered from a respiratory infection. Now, she's ready to come join the family, but the pet transportation service is going to cost about $1,000. A donor is already covering half of that, so I'm looking to get some help to cover the other half.

Help me bring this sweet baby home, and complete our little spider-pack!

The Not-So-Fun Part!

Now is the part that only involves humans, and no more cute pet pics. Sorry.

I have been trying to get a divorce for almost 2 years. It's all pretty amicable, but there's been a bit of a hard time getting my name removed from the mortgage for the house that my ex and I bought together in 2019. I'm ready to move on with my life and no longer be financially and emotionally tied to this.

To make that happen, I need to hire a lawyer, and they are, as it turns out, pretty expensive. In the end, I will likely pay at least $5,000 for this, potentially more.
