Help Boba who needs life saving medicine to fight paralysis

Hi my name is Rose and I'm making this gofundme for my Dog Boba Fett. He just turned two years old and is absolutely everything to me. We noticed he was acting a little bit off on the 25th of March and I found a tick on him. My sibling and I removed the tick but he was displaying signs of tick paralysis which is extremely common on the south coast of Australia but is absolutely terrifying too. He is usually given Nexguard Spectra however this does *not* last a full month in high tick areas and maxes out at 28 days something I did not know prior.

We did everything we could and made sure to completely remove the tick calmly and slowly from the base and he seemed okay after however he was displaying trouble standing up as well as extra drooling this morning and I rushed him straight to the vet. He is now under sedation and will receive a tick antiserum which neutralises the toxins.

This is an extremely costly procedure but if he was not given the antiserum he would have declined and most likely would have passed away. This happens to 10,000 dogs are affected every year in Australia and 5% pass away from it. This puts the number at about 500 dogs every year in Australia.

I know that money is tight for everyone. I'm a carer for my little brother who has autism, who has been with me since he was 11 when our mum passed away and I was 24. My older brother and I took him in but my brother then got Kidney cancer twice and is now living with half a kidney. Things have been hard and we barely scrape by with meals for the week with the cost of living as high as it is, so I understand exactly how hard times are for everyone. Even just a share means so much to my brothers and myself. Boba is such a fundimental part of our life. He has even helped my brother by taking Boba for walks and getting involved in the community more at the leash free dog spots.

I have applied for VetPay so that I can hopefully pay his bills up front but anything you can spare helps more than I can begin to explain to get him back to his usual cheeky self. Donations go immediately towards paying off the vet bill.
