Help “BoBo”! Pup abused & hit by car

“The abuse of a child is the business of anyone who knows about it.“ I would add that the abuse of an animal is also the business of anyone who knows about it. Aunt and Uncle thought so too. This is “BoBo”. He was hit by a car because an abusive man allowed him out on a busy street with vehicles going at high speeds. BoBo is safe now along with his 4 human siblings who were rescued by their Aunt and Uncle. BoBo is out of the emergency vet hospital as of today and the doctors are optimistic he will make a full recovery. He amazingly has no broken bones but does have fluid around his lungs and bruising on his heart, lungs, and liver. Aunt and Uncle (who shall remain anonymous to protect the children involved) took in the 4 kids ages 10, 11, 12, and 14 and BoBo (2) because they were being abused and neglected. Aunt and Uncle took them in to protect them, try and help them heal, and give them a chance for a better future. Unfortunately, because of threats made to the family/kids, court proceedings, multiple meetings for the kids, etc Uncle missed some days of work and no longer has a job due to all of this. Aunt and Uncle put the cost of the emergency care for “BoBo” on their credit card without hesitation because these kids can’t experience more loss and more trauma. And Aunt and Uncle (vegan animal lovers) couldn’t stand to see an innocent animal who has a chance at survival be put down because of money. Aunt and Uncle have so far spent just under $5,000 in emergency vet bills. We are asking the community for any donations because anything would be helpful towards making the payments and getting proper care for BoBo. In addition to emergency care BoBo did break some teeth during the accident and Aunt and Uncle were told the teeth will need to be extracted when he makes a full recovery. He also needs to be on medication for pain. Additionally, BoBo needs to be neutered. And anyone who owns a pet knows how expensive dog food is ongoing. So any additional funds that are left over after paying the emergency vet bill will go to the follow up vet visit to check his liver, teeth extraction, meds, food, neutering, toys, and anything to make him feel comfortable during this time. It would be a huge weight off of Aunt and Uncle’s shoulders to have help with this care and not have to worry how they are going to get the money to make the card payments on top of trying to figure out how to financially support 4 extra kiddos in addition to their own.
