Help Bolu (Student) Funeral and Karimot Recovery

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the sudden and tragic passing of my son, Shuaib Boluwatife "Bolu" Shobande, a beloved son, brother, and friend. On November 18, 2023, Shuaib was called by his sister, Karimot Shobande, to take her to the school basketball training at her high school, when they were involved in an accident just a few blocks from our house.

Shuaib was born December 8th, 2006, and was the eldest of six siblings: Karimot(14), Aishat(12), Aliat(9), Aliamin(7) and Azinat(5). Shuaib's life was marked by resilience and positivity, even in the face of adversity. He remained positive and strong for all of us. He helped all his siblings with their assignments and all other activities at home. Shuaib was in the 11th grade at Vandegrift High School in Austin, TX. He was planning on joining the military. He was also pursuing his dream to become a future engineer. Shuaib was a kind-hearted and gentle soul who loved playing video games and supporting his family and friends.

Unfortunately, Shuaib did not have life insurance, and we are now faced with the unexpected financial burden of funeral and memorial costs. Additionally, his sister, Karimot, was admitted to the hospital for several injuries she sustained in the accident. 

I am setting up this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of Shuaib's funeral, memorial, and transportation for the family and Karimot's recovery. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated and will go a long way in helping us give Shuaib the send-off he deserves.
