HELP BRADY WALK AGAIN!!

Hi, my name is Debbie Justice. Debbie Brady or "Brady" as most people call her, has been one of my close friends (more like my sister) for almost 25 years.

Many of those reading this know Debbie's story and the many physical battles she has fought, but the most life-threatening was Covid. Deb was on a ventilator for more than four weeks, and at 1 point, the doctors felt it was hopeless. However, true to form and her unstoppable spirit and determination, even when unconscious, Debbie can off the vent. Sadly when she woke up, she was paralyzed... unable to move a finger or twitch a toe.

It has been more than a year since Debbie began her journey to walk again. Two weeks ago, Debbie walked again for the first time in over 15 months. Granted, it was a short walk, and with some assistance, BUT she walked!

The victory was short-lived because as Debbie returned to her hospital bed she tripped and fell. Her left femur was shattered!

Due to the long-term effects of steroids to treat Deb's RA, her bones are so fragile that the surgeons were concerned about the bone mending.

She has a long plate and screws holding the femur together. Her leg is splinted front and back from her upper thigh to past her toes. She is bedfast and cannot bear any weight on her leg for at least 6 weeks.

Debbie must have a sitter with her for 10-12 hours a day while Jordan is workings. She requires home health 2 times a week and physical therapy. Debbie can only travel to doctor appointments by ambulance. None of these things are free and the hospital bills are a growing concern for a person on a fixed income.

Brady is too proud to ask for help so I will ask for her.  Please help ensure Brady has the support and care she needs to finally have a life beyond the 4 walls that surround her hospital bed. Help Brady walk again!
