Help Branden Jr. Get Justice
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Emily, and I am fundraising money for my family to afford a lawyer. My little brother's name is Branden; he is non-verbal and autistic. Recently my little brother has had two severe incidents with the school where he was injured. My family is not currently getting any assistance to help with Branden's needs, and my physically disabled mother and disabled veteran father take care of him independently. There is a lack of accountability at his current school for his injuries. He came home from school with bruises on his arms, legs, and back with scratches around his neck. He expressed to my mother through his talker, "No school, Not safe," every day until she reassures him he will not be going back until this was taken care of. When my mother brought the concerns to the school and the police department, they did not accept any responsibility for their actions or the harm done to Branden. Instead, the school contacted my mother to explain they would be getting a lawyer, and unfortunately, we cannot afford one. This school has several times proved they can not meet Branden's needs as a special needs child, and our current goal is to get him outplaced to a better-suited school. Any money would help my family in this situation, and I appreciate everyone who contributes by even sharing this. Branden Jr. can not speak for himself; please help us be his voice and get him the justice he deserves. If you would like to view the situation further, a public post on my Facebook page, Emmalee Hoag, explains the problem with pictures.
