Help Brandon Hoyte get health treatment needed
Donation protected
Brandon Hoyte, our friend, and captain of the 2005 Notre Dame football team is currently incarcerated at the San Diego County Jail.
Brandon has suffered brain trauma as a result of playing football, which has contributed to his current predicament.
Now he needs our help.
We are raising $50,000 for dual purposes:
- For a bail bond that will facilitate his release from jail.
- To sponsor the cost of treatment at a Health facility in San Diego, CA - where Brandon can be properly assessed and treated for a minimum of 30 days. We've been quoted ($1,200/1,500 daily rates).
- Logistics (travel, food)
(We want to be very transparent about our progress, goal achievements, and share each and every successful step with all of you while utilizing the funds gathered via this initiative. Furthermore, we will make all receipts available, upon request.)
******************************************************************************
If you’ve met Brandon, you immediately like him. He’s a gentle giant who has fallen on hard times. Inside that warrior's body is a sensitive man who is thoughtful, who has given himself in service to his community, and who has a 1,000-watt smile that can brighten any day.
When Fr. Sorin established Notre Dame, he predicted it would become a “powerful force for good.” The Notre Dame community has always been so generous in helping its fellow alumni in times of great need, and, as we rallied behind Brandon as a player, we need to again rally for him now.
This GoFundMe is authorized by Brandon’s family and all funds collected will go directly to Brandon’s care and the (hopefully positive) disposition of his legal predicament.
If you knew Brandon at Notre Dame or Sayreville War Memorial or met him in Jersey, San Diego or anywhere in between, please consider a donation today. Thank you and God bless!
