Help Brandon as he recovers from the ICU

On Mon, Sept4, 2023, our loving brother, son, father, grandson, and nephew, Brandon Cornett, was violently stabbed unprovoked, with no cause or reason. Brandon was stabbed at least 4 times that we know of. In the neck, which severed one of his main arteries, in the chest, in his face, and the back of his head. He was airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital and entered a 10 hour long emergency open chest, bypass surgery to save his life. He shouldn’t have been able to survive the severity of the wounds he sustained, but miraculously, he lived. He is still in critical condition and isn’t out of the woods yet, but we have high hopes that he will recover. But that road to recovery will be long, arduous, and costly.Brandon is a very skilled and talented mechanic who loves cars, and enthusiastically works with his hands all day. When he is not working his full-time job, he is working side projects for friends and family members, usually giving away his labor and incurring costs himself just to help other people. The injuries he sustained have damaged several parts of his body including his left hand which now has nerve damage. There is a high probability that these injuries will affect him for the rest of his life. As of now, his livelihood has been impacted as he is unable to work for the foreseeable future. He will also have extensive medical and rehabilitation costs associated with this injury. We are asking for help for Brandon. We are uncertain how long Brandon will be out of work, and what his medical costs will be, but we would appreciate any help any of you can provide. He had been on such a good path and was finding true joy in fatherhood.We are so grateful for the miracle that our family has been given, we are all so profoundly aware of how close we came to losing him. We want to give Brandon the gift of time--time to recover physically and time to heal the mental trauma that he has been through with this ordeal.
