Break the Outbreak
We are Break the Outbreak, a student-run 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that makes and donates PPE to our communities. We make face shields, cloth masks, and care packages to donate to food suppliers, grocery stores, senior citizens, food banks, farmer's markets and low income families across the nation. We have 53 chapters located in 18 states across the nation. We are supported by STEM Outside the Box (a fellow non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization), Muse Health and Wellness, and Best Partner Travels Incorporated. We are also endorsed by Congressman Eric Swalwell and supported by multiple city officials such as Vice Mayor Arun Goel of Dublin and San Jose PIM Elisabeth Handler.
We use funds to buy materials we can use to make more face shields, cloth masks and care packages. We also use funds to cover operation costs, personnel affairs, maintenance costs, etc. We have donated to over 350 establishments and have helped many hundreds of people in need. We have donated 10,000+ face shields and 12,000+ face masks to help our local communities. In total, we have donated over 22,000 PPE to people in need. We have also donated over 16,000 oz. of FDA approved hand sanitizer provided to us by Muse Health & Wellness.
