Help Breanna and Katelynn Heal
Doação protegida
On Friday, August 30 at around 8 a.m., Breanna and Katelynn Schieffer were walking to school in Crofton. As they were crossing Highway 12, they were struck by an oncoming vehicle. Both girls suffered traumatic injuries and they are currently receiving the best care at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Updates on their conditions will be posted on this site:
Breanna is just starting her sixth grade year, and Katelynn is just starting second grade. They are so full of life, love their dogs, and their family. Oh, and Taylor Swift.
They feel your love and support, but if you feel so inclined to donate to this, the family will appreciate it.
Aunt Di posting with permission from Carl and Nancy.
Funds will be used to help pay the medical bills and needs of the family while the girls are recovering.

At the beginning of this journey, we posted every single day on our Caring Bridge site. While we still plan to post again soon on CB, I need to do some "paperwork" so these GoFundMe funds get into Carl and Nancy's bank account. GoFundMe sent me a list of questions I need to answer and post on here because my original story didn't include all that was necessary to prove that this isn't a scam. We are so grateful for your donations, and we assure you that this money is going to the family. Here are the answers to questions they sent me. I kind of thought I already was clear on this, but I'm going to make it crystal clear now.
This fundraiser is NOT for ME (Diane Schieffer), but it is for my brother and sister-in-law Carl and Nancy Schieffer and their family. Nancy is listed with her email address as a beneficiary of this money, and has since the start.
In regards to how the family is receiving these donations, their bank number has been put in, and we are just awaiting approval. I will not be seeing any of this money personally. Carl and Nancy will have it sent to their bank account,
I appreciate these extra steps they are taking to make sure this is legit.
