Help BreAnna Volunteer Abroad in Ireland

Hi everyone! My name is BreAnna Piorkowski! I am currently in my final semester at Ohio University in the Master of Science in Human Development and Family Science program!

Each summer, my child life program offers a 4-week study abroad trip to Dublin, Ireland to broaden our cultural views as students. During this experience, we have the opportunity to volunteer for 100+ hours at numerous sites, including Barretstown Serious Fun Camp (year-round pediatric medical camp), Ronald McDonald House Charities, and two pediatric hospitals. As a future healthcare professional, this trip will allow me to work with different populations of children and families, thus increasing my cultural humility and improving my overall ability to work with families from various cultural backgrounds. The estimated cost of the trip is $11,500. This covers housing, meals, a 3 credit course, required fees, and travel.
